Foundation Nail Tech Summer Class
Learn. Create. Build your future. A five-morning foundation course for teenagers, taught on eco-friendly, non-toxic gel systems.

Every seat includes all materials, snacks, a take-home kit and a certificate on the last day. Teens work with eco-friendly, safe, non-toxic gel products under a Silver Level Global Educator, in a small group where each student gets attention.

The Green Nail Salon Conference
Sparkle Sustainably brought nail technicians from across Guyana and the Caribbean to the Ramada Georgetown Princess Hotel from 20 to 22 March 2025, for three days of advanced training in eco-conscious nail practice. It ran as the NSI Caricom Masterclass, and it remains the academy's flagship professional event.
The programme paired technical instruction with business skills. Technicians worked hands-on with MMA-free and HEMA-free systems, learned the chemistry behind them, and sat a certification exam on the final day.
- Day one. Sustainable beauty and business essentials, with hands-on practice.
- Day two. Advanced technique on MMA-free and HEMA-free systems, with hands-on practice.
- Day three. Hands-on practice, certification exam and networking dinner.
The teaching faculty was international. Katia Da Silva (South Africa), a global nail educator specialising in sustainable technique, and Darlene Tewitz (Canada), an expert in eco-friendly nail products and salon practice, taught alongside Lexann McPhoy (Guyana), Silver Level Global Educator.
The conference was covered by Scratch, the United Kingdom professional nail trade magazine, on 15 January 2025. Speaking to Scratch, Lexann McPhoy said the aim was to "empower nail technicians to lead the way in eco-friendly beauty practices".
